Who are Daenerys Targaryen’s parents?
Aerys II Targaryen, the Mad King, and Queen Rhaella Targaryen, who were brother and sister. Rhaella died bearing Daenerys on Dragonstone in 284 AC during a great storm, which is where Stormborn comes from.
Who are Daenerys’s brothers?
Rhaegar Targaryen, born 259 AC and killed at the Trident before she was born, and Viserys, born 276 AC, who called himself Viserys III and raised her in exile. Several other siblings died in infancy.
Is Daenerys related to Rhaenyra Targaryen?
Yes, directly. Daenerys descends from Rhaenyra through Rhaenyra’s son Viserys II, roughly eight generations back. Every Targaryen monarch after the Dance of the Dragons comes from Rhaenyra’s line.
How is Daenerys related to Aegon the Conqueror?
